Greene County High School junior Cole DeHoet competed at the University of Iowa Field House in Iowa City March 16 with more than 900 other Special Olympics Iowa (SOIA) athletes from across Iowa at the Mid-Winter Tournament.
DeHoet earned second place (silver medal) in his division for basketball skills. Athletes are division by age, gender and abilities. His mother Alysha and sister Calya attended with him to cheer for him. They wore special shirts made at ShineOn Designs of Jefferson to support “Team Cole DeHoet.”
